Articles submited for consideration are reviewed by specialized referees under a double blinded basis.

The journal is presented in Spanish and English and accepts papers in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Will be considered relevant to the publishing interests of the journal those works in the following fields:
Medical Humanities. The Medical Humanities are an academic interdisciplinary field in the intersection of health and medicine with the humanities (philosophy, ethics, history, and religion), the arts (literature, theatre, visual arts, and music) and the social sciences (sociology, anthropology, psychology, political science, economy, law, communication, cultural studies). Disciplines that are often included under this category are history of medicine, bioethics, medical epistemology and scientific research methodology, medical esthetics, medical pedagogy, medical sociology, medical anthropology, economy of health, medical law, health politics, and medical communication, among others.
Social Studies of Science and Technology. TheSocial Studies of Science and Technology are a multidisciplinary field having as it study object the analysis of social, cultural, political and economic processes related to scientific and technological activities. Are of interest of this journal papers in history, philosophy and sociology of science and technology, innovation economics, science and technology policy, public communication of science, STS education, among others.
About the papers. Originality requirement
Eä publishes exclusively original papers. Will be accepted:
- Articles
- Book reviews
- Research advances / Brief communications
- Inconoiatrical papers: (from ‘eikon' -greek- image, and ‘iatros’ -greek- medicine, treatment), considering the relevance of images (drawings, paintings, photographs, etc.) for the construction of knowledge, authors may present papers that mainly compounded by images followed by shorter explanatory texts. These papers will be evaluated by referees -same as regular articles-, and will have to be submitted according to the instructions for submitting originals and respect authors’ copyright.

The journal is developed by a team that brings together researchers from the Chair of History of Medicine, Department of Medical Humanities and Department of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, University of Buenos Aires; the Institute for Science and Technology Studies, National University of Quilmes; and the Department of Health Sciences of the National University of La Matanza.
Eä gathers a prestigious editorial board, prominent figures in the fields of Medical Humanities and Social Studies of Science and Technology, and a network of specialized external referees. Eä has also designated several correspondents in different countries around the world in order to help us promote the journal in their respective countries.
